Sickness Policy

Children's Illness

In the event of any children whilst in my care falling ill my policy is that parents will be contacted and arrangements made for the child/children to be collected. This is because as a childminder I cannot be expected to look after an ill child whilst taking care of other children in my care. A fee is still payable for that session.

If a child is ill before a scheduled session, parents must make alternative arrangements for that child to be looked after, as again I cannot be expected to look after a ill child whilst taking care of other children in my care. A fee is still payable for that day.

In the event of my own child’s illness, all parents will be contacted prior to the scheduled session and they can make the decision whether they want to bring their child/children, if they decide they don’t want to bring their child/children a fee is payable at a reduced rate of 50%.
